Linda Loewenthal advocates for authors whose goals are to make a difference in peoples’ lives, whether their books shift a perspective, offer practical advice, or ignite the imagination. She has over ten years of experience as an agent and fifteen years of experience as an editor and publishing executive, which she puts to work on behalf of her clients. She guides authors as they develop their book ideas, as well as representing clients to the publishing and entertainment communities, garnering the most beneficial contracts, and advising them about the publishing process and their writing careers.

Linda represents fiction and nonfiction, specializing in the areas of narrative nonfiction, memoir, science, health, spirituality, and psychology. While at Random House Inc., she was the Vice President and Editorial Director of Harmony Books at the Crown Publishing Group. There she oversaw the successful launch of the trade paperback imprint, Three Rivers Press, for which she was also Editorial Director. She published such diverse and best-selling authors as: the renowned novelist Douglas Adams, spiritual teachers Deepak Chopra, Carolyn Myss, and Byron Katie; Sweet Potato Queen Jill Conner Browne; evolutionary biologist Stephen Jay Gould; and the humor magazine the Onion. Linda was also the Vice President and Director of the Quality Paperback Book Club at Book of the Month Club, Inc. While there, she created and launched the One Spirit Book Club, recipient of Time-Warner’s President’s Award. Linda is also the co-author of Yearnings: Embracing the Sacred Messiness of Life with Irwin Kula (Hyperion, September 2006).
